Hans is a Principal Engineer within the Mitton ElectroNet’s Transmission Team and has a wide range of experience in the Transmission & Distribution industries.  Hans undertakes project management, primary, secondary and communications design with specialist knowledge in power system protection.  A qualified Electrical Engineer with his Masters in Electrical Power and Energy Systems, Hans possesses a robust experiential background of more than two decades in electrical system design, power system protection, substation automation, automatic analysis systems and automatic control systems

Nabil Adam

Nabil is an engineer working in the generation team, and has been working at Mitton ElectroNet since September 2016. Nabil completed his degree at Canterbury University in 2011, and joined the Transpower graduate programme straight after. After gaining experience across the business on the graduate programme, he worked in the System Operator Engineering team, gaining experience with power system analysis and modelling.

Rob Orange

Rob has thirteen years of experience in the power industry in the Asia-Pacific region. In the last five years with Mitton ElectroNet Rob has been involved in various grid connection studies for Australian sites, earth grid testing activities, and the development of Python and iOS applications to automate tasks within the business.

Robin Watson

Robin has over 10 years industry experience, specialising primarily in high voltage substation design.  Recent projects include new builds and upgrades of transmission and distribution substations, capacitor banks, protection & SCADA systems.  Robin has also previously been involved in earth grid design & testing, and published papers on earthing safety.

Robin is a valued member of our team specialising in substation primary design, protection & SCADA.

Maulik Patel

Maulik joined MEL after graduating with a BE(Hons) degree from the University of Canterbury in 2012.  Maulik has been part of the substation design team since his commencement at MEL. He has been involved with secondary design on Transpower’s 33 kV outdoor to indoor conversion projects and he has recently undertaken several transformer replacement projects. He has carried out earth testing in and around NZ and Australia  to gain valuable site experience and he is also proficient at using CYMCAP, a cable rating software.

Rebecca Marx

Rebecca has nine years’ experience in the Electric Power Transmission industry, being involved since graduating from University in late 2009. Her experience includes protection and operational support, secondary circuit design, protection settings, Power Factory modelling, on-site support for 11kV switchgear installations, investigation and documentation of solution study reports and production of Transpower TEES cost estimates.

Jackson Lung

Jackson has ten years’ experience in the distribution and transmission industries in New Zealand and Australia, enabling him to become very experienced in the areas of protection studies & settings, substation primary, secondary, SCADA design and project management.

Jackson has also carried out numerous arc flash assessments for distribution and industrial clients. Helping companies to realise the hazards in their systems, in many cases, the risks are mitigated with practical engineering improvements.
